Rick Martin blows a Latin wind into EXPO 2016

World-famous Porto Rican singer Ricky Martin took the stage at EXPO 2016 Antalya on the very first day of Eid Al-Adha at Outdoor Activity Field.

He was much cheered for his dancing as well as his singing. He said that Turkey had an important place in his career. He noted that a few months ago, some people had warned him that it would be dangerous for him to go to Turkey. “I love Turkey so much that I keep coming here again and again. Turkey is very, very important for me and my career. I love this country”, said Martin.

To express his love for fans, he yelled them in Turkish “Teşekkür ederim Türkiye”, which means “Thank you, Turkey”. He added:

“I am here tonight to make you forget whatever problems you have at your home, school, work or life. I am here because I want to be free. Dou you want to be free? I am here tonight to have a good time, speaking the language of love whether it is in English or Spanish. I hope you will too. Thank you. I love you.”

Surprise of the concert, was Martin’s duet with Turkish pop singer Ayşe Hatun Önal, performing the song “Adios”. The duo had recorded the song a year before for the Turkish edition of Ricky Martin’s album “A Quien Quiera Escuchar”. As Martin sang in English, Önal performed the Turkish version. The duet was much cheered by the audience.
