Geophytes are the plants having underground organs such as bulb and rhizome. Bulbous and tuber plants such as snowdrop, lily and cyclamen are called geophytes. The garden in which such plants are exhibited is located on the west of Expo Hill and on the north of Turkey Biodiversity Theme Track. The exhibited Anatolian-rooted natural plant species were grown by Yalova Atatürk Horticultural Central Research Institute. Planting of the flower species produced as part of the project was completed. The species which will blossom in autumn will be planted in June. 64 plant species were planted in the Geophytes Garden. The garden contains other species of peony, our symbolic flower.
